김한빛의 Evolve 연작은 형태의 변화가 아닌, 시간이 지나며 공간이 살아가는 방식을 기록한 작업이다.
사진은 미국 애리조나에 위치한 탈리에신 웨스트 Taliesin West 에서 촬영되었다. 이곳은 근대 건축의 거장 프랭크 로이드 라이트 Frank Lloyd Wright 의 제자들이 머물기 위해 만들었던 쉘터들이 자연 속에 남아 있는 장소다.
탈리에신 웨스트에는 보존된 구조와 풍화된 흔적, 그리고 콘크리트의 골격만 남은 쉘터가 한 풍경 안에서 공존한다. 멈춘 듯한 장면 속에서도 공간은 빛과 바람, 온도와 시간에 반응하며 조금씩 다른 표정을 만들어낸다.
작가는 이러한 흐름을 따라, 개별 이미지의 의미를 강조하기보다 공간 전체가 만들어내는 호흡에 집중한다.
Evolve는 완성된 형태가 아닌, 시간이 축적되며 변화하는 상태 그 자체를 기록한 아카이브에 가깝다.
Evolve is not a study of changing forms, but a record of how space continues to live over time.
The photographs were taken at Taliesin West in Arizona, a site where shelters built for the apprentices of Frank Lloyd Wright remain within the natural landscape.
Rather than emphasizing individual images, the work follows the rhythm of the space itself—responding to light, wind, temperature, and time as they quietly accumulate.
Evolve functions as an archive of a space in transition, recording a state of continual change rather than a completed form.
